The busted Ferrari used when the main server crashed and was rebuilt.
I was looking for the Enzo that crashed in Malibu not long ago but used this instead.

A nice engine shot of a V-10, used once I felt the site was again working respectability (but still having TCIP driver problems).
Keeping the Ferrari/Italian theme going a bit longer, then we are going back to big block Fords.
This shot comes from one of the 3rd party engine rebuild shops.
Since we are still having driver problems, a v10 (as in only 10 out of 12 cylinders firing) seemed right.

The Lotus Elise was chosen as my current favorite damn-quick and damn-cheap driving car.
You can own this this thing for under 50k (cup holders extra).  I have been a Lotus lover ever since my first boss had a '72 Europa back when I was programming ATM machines in 1978.   I am saddened to say that the motivation for this image was the announcement today (March 23/07) that the local dealer (South Bay) will be leaving the market.  This is a major blow to the local community, as they have been a strong supporter.   As always, tension between the dealer network and the manufacturer is the root cause; Lotus US wants a dealer on every damn corner.  They need need to take a lesson for Porsche and always under-produce to ensure market demand.  Buy one now, the '07 models will have bumpers!

I had a Kart before I went to college, the only thing that came close to it in fun was the Lotus Europa mentioned above.  With slicks, disk brakes, and ~20 hp rolling six inches off the ground it was pretty intense.  Took the Kids to a go-kart place during vacation, now the bug is biting again.  I wonder if I can figure out a way to call it one a DSRC test sled?  The particular one below (Jet powered no less) would not be the class you would want to start in.
